On the configuration, we added that company record for two purposes.

One, we created a sample “pitch” on that company so your team could learn how to insert pitches into emails. They are pre-written emails to save your reps time in the field. The pitches can include images and hyperlinks so your rep can reply in minutes of the client’s request (we want to strike while the iron is hot, right?) instead of waiting until the end of the day to log into email, look for pictures, links etc.

Two, if there is a sales call someone goes on and they learn something that could be helpful to your company but doesn’t necessarily need be reported to a manufacturer, you could track the note there.

An example could be, “the contact reports all government shut downs will delay __ type of deals by 60 days. Let’s look at other sectors to boost sales this quarter.” Then you can discuss it at the next team meeting.

Another example could be you discover a wonderful contact is retiring and you think your team would want to honor this person in some way. It’s not essential to a manufacturer and it could be brought up at a team meeting, “Hey guys, so and so is retiring. He’s been key to our success in that territory. What do you think if we get him a ball cap and tickets to his favorite team and we all sign his card to wish him well?”

If you want to remove that from the AJ list, just use the instructions
