When you change a Sales Team on a company (one at a time or in bulk) you have to choose what to do with things that take place in the past, present and future.

At some point in the process “history” becomes a snapshot in time.  When you look back you will still be able to see records created by people who are no longer with the company.  The options below are asking what you want to change.

  1. Changes the present and the future.  The person left and you want the history to remain showing their name/sales team, but anything current and future shows the newly assigned sales team. The members of the new Sales Team will NOT be able to run sales or commissions reports for date ranges that took place when the previous Sales Team was in place. Any “Owners” in Repfabric will be able to see the reports for the ‘old’ sales team.
  2. Changes the past, present and future.  Someone got fired and you want to erase all trace of them in your instance of Repfabric, lol. You should choose this option if you want the new sales team to be able to see sales numbers from the previous sales team. This means they can also SEE past commissions numbers. You can go to “Users” settings and remove the check mark for any commission reports. This means you will have to have someone run commissions reports for salespeople. They can run their own sales reports.
  3. Changes only the future.  If someone were retiring Friday at 5 pm, you could choose this option and the retiring person would finish out their open items.  All future Opps and transactions will be under the newly assigned sales team. The members of the new Sales Team will NOT be able to run sales or commissions reports for date ranges that took place when the previous Sales Team was in place. Any “Owners” in Repfabric will be able to see the reports for the ‘old’ sales team.
