How does mapping in Repfabric work? How can I create a map?
The goal of Repfabric mapping is to save you time on preparing the spreadsheet. Once you know the column headers and the fields you want to import, you can create a map per manufacturer. Sometimes you may want to create two if they send you a separate POS report.
The first month you do the import you create, name and save the map. Every month after that you select that map and use it.
ALWAYS TEST THE MAP
While you are learning how the maps work, or to speed up your time on the screen, please print this Mapping Practice Sheet out along with a print out of the first page of your spreadsheet. Set them side by side and determine which column will go into which field.
For example, the spreadsheet might have “item#” as the header. That column would map to the Part Number column. Sold to Party will likely go to customer and so on. This sheet can help you think through the process before lining them up on the screen.
