How can I use the CRMSync to update my opportunities in Sales Force, Sugar CRM or any fixed URL web-based system?

First step is contact your account manager as this is not a one-click set up but rather a process that may include writing custom code for your manufacturer’s data to line up with fields in Repfabric.

If you are not sure who your account manager is, please email support@repfabric.com

There are two types of CRMSync processes in Repfabric. They are GUI and OAuth2 (the API mode is being deprecated/retired 6/30/22).

GUI Mode (“Screen Link” – no manufacturer permissions required)

GUI is for a graphical user interface – it’s basically a shortcut link from Repfabric to that specific opportunity URL in Salesforce or your manufacturer’s system. GUI mode requires you to still update the fields on both the Repfabric Opportunity and the Salesforce opportunity. However, we do give you a checklist in the Sync History as a reminder of what fields were edited in Repfabric so you can make sure you update the equivalent fields in Salesforce.

The GUI interface can be done with your own set up and credentials at any time. Read this SFDC GUI Set Up Tutorial. [coming soon]

OAuth2 Mode (Authorization from your Manufacturer required)

The Oauth2 Mode only one direction and only for opportunities. It does save you the duplication of effort on updates.

Once the API is connected, you can click a button and whatever you updated on Repfabric will push up into Sales Force and show updated there as well.

This 7-minute video is an introduction into that process which can take several months depending on the time to win the API admin access approval and then configure static vs. complex fields between the two systems.
