Normally a Sales Rep will convert an Activity Journal into an Opportunity when there is potential for increased sales dollars. From that opportunity, line items can be added which then can be generated into a quote, or an existing quote can be linked to an existing opportunity.
Did you know you can also convert a quote into an opportunity? Here’s how!
Once you have created your quote and added in the line items, click on the “Linked Docs” tab.
Once in the “Linked Docs” tab, click on ‘Link to Opportunity.’
When the Opportunites List pops up, click “Convert to Opportunity.”
The Opportunity is generated and you can then drill down into the opportunity by clicking on it.
The Opportunity can be edited and updated going forward.
The line items from the quote carry over from the quote into the Opportunity.
