There may be a day where you want to change the Sales Team on a company. *If you are trying to merge companies to clean up duplicate accounts, this step is essential.

You can also use “Update Selected”(click here for tutorial) button to update multiple companies at once.

The instructions below will show you how to re-assign accounts from one sales team to another in bulk.

  1. Go to “Settings” > “Sales Teams.”
  2. Select the Sales Team that you are removing the accounts from.
  3. Left click “Assign Accounts” button.
  4. Select one of the three choices.
  5. Use the drop-down to select the Sales Team you are moving the accounts to.

OPTION 1: Change CRM – Opportunities and Activity Journals means only the CRM records of this company will move to be visible for the new rep, none of the financial information will transfer.  If you choose this option, the new sales team will NOT be able to see sales or commission history.

OPTION 2: Change both CRM and historical sales and commission entries means both CRM and fiscal records will move from one rep the other for past and future transactions. This option will allow the members of the new sales team to see all historical sales and COMMISSIONS data. If you do not want them to see commissions numbers from the past, please go into user settings and remove all check marks for “Commissions” reports.

OPTION 3: Effective only for future transaction means both CRM and fiscal transactions will be recorded under the new Sales Team starting now.
