Combo Aliasing can be used to specify the correct Primary Customer based on the Secondary Customer (and vice versa) in commission reports. When you import a spreadsheet that has a CEM listed with no location information, and there are multiple locations for that CEM, using the clue of the Secondary Customer can help assign the commission to the correct location/salesperson.
Example of a Potential Commission Statement:

For Existing customers, the box for “Alias on Primary and Secondary Customer Combined” must be checked on the company record to make it work. If you are adding a customer in the aliasing process, you can check the box on the aliasing page when you create the customer.
Import your spreadsheet and map it. When you come to an existing customer for whom you have enabled this process, the name will be purple. It will also turn purple for any new customers that you create with this box checked. In the example shown, here is the aliasing page for the above spreadsheet after the Secondary Customer was aliased. Notice that the name Jabil is red just like normal. When you click on one of these and alias it to a Jabil location for which has combo aliasing enabled, it will turn purple. Caution: If you choose a Jabil location for which you did not enable combo aliasing, it will alias them all the same.

As an example, one chosen will be aliased it to Jabil – Agua Escondida. The Combo aliasing was already enabled on that company page. This is what it looks like now. It’s now possible to click on any of the purple choices and alias them one by one to the correct location of Jabil.

For example, look at the one with the secondary customer of Microsoft. Notice the purple letters showing the new combination that has just been created and that I will alias to the correct location of Jabil (or any other Customer that is the right Customer to represent this combination.) It can be aliased completely to Microsoft, or it can be aliased to Jabil – whichever location, or it can be aliased to an entirely different customer account (like George Jones in the image below) that placed an order with Microsoft to build 100 of these custom computers that Jabil is building.

Keep repeating the alias process for the other purple combinations.
